Yahoo & Windows Live Messenger to Chat

Yahoo and Windows are beta testing software that will combine their instant messaging services.

I honestly don't know how it will change what people have already, especially since there are services that already allow you to be on multiple services at one time seeminglessly, such as Trillian. It may be more beneficial for people who are new to chat and instant messaging. It will be interesting to see the developments though.
